HI,
I am very new here. I am a bangladeshi passportholder staying in Uk under post study work permit after finishing my study. Now willing to study at canada.
1. My wife is living with me here aswell. And we want to move together. Can she come with me?
2. We r in Uk. Is that gonna be a problem to show them a strong family tie in Bangladesh while my parents, my brother and sister are in BD?
3. Can my brother in law show the sponsors? He is in Australia.
4. Do i need to show any relatives in canada?
5. If my course fee is $8000 per year, roughly how much should I show in the statement?
6. Can my wife work there?

Lots of questions here. But could some one please help me on these issues?

Thanks in advance.

Pre-Assessed..
1. You can apply for her visa to come with you.
2. You have to try it but inspite of your family in BD, you are still in the UK, right
3. Your brother in law will lend you money?
4. No
5. Canada immigration thinks 2 people will need $26,972 per year to survive. If you apply for a visa for the wife later, you will need to show only $21,666 per year.
6. Yes, your wife can apply for an open work permit. You can apply for a student work permit and work 20 hours a week also.

Thanks a lot for ur replys. The official website of canadian immigration seems not working right now. On number 4, I couldn't understand the answer. Can't he give us sponsor as when I came to UK(showing regular income and bank statements)?
Thanks again for ur reply.

3. Proof of financial support

* evidence that you can support yourself and accompanying family members while you study in Canada. Such evidence may include:
o proof of a Canadian bank account in your name if money has been transferred to Canada;
o your bank statements for the past four months;
o a bank draft in convertible currency;
o proof of payment of tuition and residence fees;
o for those with a scholarship or those with a Canadian funded educational program: proof of funding paid from within Canada.
* if foreign exchange control measures exist in your country, you must provide proof that you will be permitted by the exchange control authorities of your country to export funds for all of your expenses.
It doesn't say anything about your uncle co-signing for you being acceptable but maybe it is. You might want to discuss this with the embassy in the UK before you apply.

Thanks again for ur quick reply. Though I am still confused, I better discuss with an agent or immigration expert for that issue. But I am really pleases to know that I can take my spouse with me. Now rethinking about it. should I try myself or she could try, coz her brother and father can sponsor her directly.
I will keep you guys annoyed by asing so many question by the time. Anway thanks a lot.

Some people say it's better to get your student visa first and send for the wife later. I am not sure if it matters but if your wife is not coming with you, it can make your claim stronger that you will be leaving Canada when your studies are done. Then again, she'd have to prove when she applies later that she will also be leaving Canada etc.
