I had sent in fingerprints for my FBI background check in July, but had moved to a different address (Albeit in the same town) in early August.I had activated mail forwarding with USPS, and had submitted my application post-ITA in October, with a LOE asking for an extension to submit my FBI PCC, and they have currently provided me an extension till December 26. The FBI had shipped out my report on October 13, and I was expecting the report to be delivered sometime in the last week of October, but I didn't receive it. I have spoken with the local post offices in my town, spoken with the new tenants living at my old address to see if they had accidentally delivered it there, and called up the USPS Customer service to report lost mail etc, but they were unable to do anything. I have requested the FBI to request a second copy, and they said it'll take 2-4 weeks to process that request. I'm extremely annoyed at this turn of events, which seems to be USPS's fault. Also, judging by the way things are going, it looks like by the time I receive my FBI PCC will be well after December 26, and I may have to request a second extension which I'm not sure if CIC would be able to provide. I can't use an FBI authorized channeler to get a report faster either, as I'm not an American citizen or a permanent resident.
