VENEZUELA CASE APPLY AUGUST 2011

Hi Im from Venezuela We applied in August 24th 2011
They received August 28th 2011
They return November 7th 2011
Medical done May 2011
Sponsorship Accepted 12th January 2012

In CIC page said Venezuela time proccess is 25 months!!!!Can a family survive the distance??????

We are desperate my husband must to keep his job in Canada and all our future belongs!!!!
If he leaves Canada ,the proccess will change because he must to start a new life with me outside Canada so that could make the proccess more long !!!
and the Canadian goverment can think that we dont have anything to start our life there (job,money a place to live)

Yes I understand that Canada must to protect their country for ilegal inmigration but people like as getting the conseqcuences its not FAIR!!!!

Its hard to live so far!

how I can know IF they sent the application to my country???

Dyana, for the benefit of the rest of the forum I will write in English.

Normally they send the file directly to the Visa Office (in your case, Caracas) as soon as sponsorship is approved. So that file should be there now.

I now that Caracas can take a long time. My husband and I are both Venezuelans (though I have a Canadian passport) and we have a friends going through the Federal Skilled Migrant scheme that have been waiting for over a year.

Is it a possibility that you enroll in a University/College in order to be together with your husband during this time?

The only other positive thing I can comment is that I have seen some cases out of the Caracas office that go by quicker (I think there was one done in about 5 months or so...).

Yes Venezuelan process is so long some application are fast other not...anyway we must to be patient..Congrats for your aplication!!!
My sponsor was accepted but we did not receive other update so i dont know what expect!!! im afraid due to bad post service in Caracas maybe they send me a letter and i did not receive yet..I update my email address and phone numbers.

after they accepted your sponsorship what happened with you,what did u received...let me know plissssss

After the sponsorship approval, we didn't hear from Berlin until about two weeks later when we received AOR from the Berlin office, concerning the date that CIC-M had received our file in November (keep in my mind that during the 2.5 months we were waiting for my approval as a sponsor we heard nothing from Mississauga).

About a day later they answered my question regarding the Police Clearance/Record from Venezuela (they told me to get it myself, even though in the website it states that they will ask for it directly). Then they sent the official request for additional documents (Police Clearance from Venezuela) by email. I sent it. A couple of weeks later they asked for my passport (also via email). And so it has been. There hasn't really been much contact, but then again, the Berlin office tends to work fast... though there are some cases stuck in their system :s .

All of the communication with Berlin has been through email. I don't know how Caracas handles it, but knowing the inefficiency of the Venezuela postal service, I would imagine they would prefer email.

Im profesional but I must be able to traveling to USA so often to share time with my husband..he must remain in his job because if he quite his job mayba Canadian Goverment can refuse the visa,its more easy for him crossed so often in USA to visit me,One time USA refused him to be in due to the frecquence..he said you are crossing 3 times in a month why??? Almost all time Im alone in USA getting some courses and volunteer because I dont have work visa only tourist visa.

As u know Venezuela now is EXTRA DANGEROUS for nationals and foreign so when my husband is here im feel so bad and worry about his security...
Our sponsorship was approved in January they said the application will send to Caracas but the CIC web page doesnt show any update. we dont know if the application is in Venezuela, because this LIMBO i decided return to Caracas to deal with a possible contact with the Embassy.

Here's a little secret I'll let you all in on. As long as your spouse is Canadian, CIC cannot refuse them from sponsoring you regardless of his/her finances or lack of employment. Yes, you can be collecting unemployment or welfare and they will still grant you a PR visa as long as your marriage is not a sham.

That is true. At the time I submitted the application, I had just stopped working as the company I was with went bankrupt. Right now, we're in Spain as students so, technically, both sponsor (Canadian citizen) and applicant are unemployed.

Hi how are you? Thanks for writting
The proccess in Venezuela can take 3 months to CIC open your file and accept your spouse as a sponsor then 25 months to them give your your visa or less time depends on the case ..Its a nightmare Venezuela Embassy never contact you,you cannot get any info...

Yes i think is better outside Venezuela so bad....We have a great country but now We have big politicals problems...
Im dealing with this crazy proccess me in Caracas and my husband in Canada Its insane...I hope this finish sooon

The good thing in your case its because your sponsor is a woman the proccess is more fast...I dont know why but its that way...
