Applications sent- 5th November 2018
Applications received- 24th January 2019
Asked for my husband's fingerprints- March 14th and submitted on 16th.

On 22nd July got invitations for the test and took the test on 8th of August.
Oath ceremony - on 23rd September 2019.
Hope this journey will be over soon.

I am a Surrey applicant who had applied in Aug 2018. Yesterday I took my Oath. Status shows complete today. I want to thank the good folks who created Canada Visa Forum and all those who shared their cases here. This forum has allowed our family to successfully apply under FSW, get our PR and finally becoming citizens. Good luck to those who are waiting. The citizenship ceremony experience was quite moving. Canada is a great country please keep it the best place by your civility, kindness, tolerance and behavior.

That looks like a normal timeline to me. It is 12 months from the time you submit your application to the time you take the Oath.. They send test invites 2 weeks before the date.. Then after the test, they'll tell you 2-3 months wait for the oath ceremony. I think, you're still good..

As far as I remember, I was only advised to call when my application was over the processing time which is 12 months. If you don't get a test invite on November, then you can call them

Thank you Kelly！ I got my test invitation today and my test date is September 25 @surrey location.

I hope Surrey starts a similar initiative as some other offices to provide test and Oath together or at least close.

hey guys!
I have question regarding passports. How long it takes if we apply through canada service not with passport office. As service canada is just walking distance from my house.
