Hi guys, Can we travel to out of country same day after finishing the oath? I know we can apply passport from canadian embassy from outside.

It is a punishable offence under the Indian Passport Act, 1967, to apply for an Indian passport, continue to hold an Indian passport, get an Indian passport re-issued or travel on an Indian passport after acquiring foreign citizenship

You would need certificate to apply for passport.

You have a grace period of 3 months. If you travel, surrender passport in India and get exit permit from FRRO. That works.

Did anyone get the request to submit scanned copies of all the pages of the passport? How long did it take to get an update after sending them?
I already took the test and got the background check done.

Test was completed around 12 th October
