Yes I did apply urgently. It went to in process on Jan 5th, application was received in Vancouver Feb 2nd. I got an email I can expect test invite in the "next few weeks" whatever that means

How do you know that your visa office is in Vancouver and received Feb 2nd? I heard there is another office is Surrey as well?

Thanks for your timeline. See some of my questions as below?
1) Are you a single applicant?Or if you applied together with your child who is less than 18 years old, did they send you both certificate together? Any idea?

2) After you receive certificate, how is the procedure to apply passport? Any PDF to fill in and write your credit card number in the form? Any information or link to share?

3) Did you apply express or normal standard? By mail or by appointment?

1. Single, no kids.

2. For the passport, go to this site:

This is the “Who Can Apply” page for a Canadian passport. It has a link to the child passport page. Just below that link is the link to the Adult passport page which has the links to the application.

The application is a fillable PDF file that includes a page where you can put in your credit card information.

3. I applied normal and through the mail. Unless you qualify for express/urgent you have to do it through the mail because of covid restrictions. When you get to the “How to Apply” page through above link, it’ll have a link that will tell you how you need to apply (mail, in person, or call) based on your answers to some questions on the page. It’s very clear and easy to navigate so don’t stress about it.

September applicant here. In process 2020 Jan, nothing since then. Inquired a few times, IRCC refused to provide any updates on my application each time I asked for a status update.

Also wanted to be proactive and applied for BC health claim summary back in December in case they request additional docs. Never heard back from them either, received nothing after 1.5 months. Very disappointing.

Downtown Vancouver. I had moved to Surrey between the cancelled test and the online one though, so not sure if that moves my processing office.

I see. You can call IRCC and ask what your processing office is. My guess is unless you changed your address, it is still Downtown Vancouver, but my guess is as good as yours.
