Some applicants submitted University diploma (which mentions English is the medium of instruction/communication). I personally know someone, a friend who did this. I submitted the IELTS I submitted before during my PR application.

Hope somebody else reply to your post though..
Hi! I'm also one of those who submitted Diploma and Transcript of records as my Proof of Language in my Application. No problem at all.

About my timeline:

Submitted - Sept. 05 2013
Received - Sept. 09 2013
Returned - Oct. 11 2013 (invalid photo ID)
Send Back - Oct. 12 2013
In Process - Jan. 17 2014
Received Discover Canada - Feb. 17 2014
Test Date - June 19 2014 (Passed with flying missiles) @ Vancouver CIC

So, anyone here took their test on the same date and location as mine?
Officer said wait 3-5 months for the Ceremony and that's what I do nowadays WAITING!

I will submit my Canadian Master's diploma as proof, as I did for my PR (through the PNP program). That's more than acceptable.

FYI CIC has just added two citizenship ceremonies at its Vancouver office on August 25th.

Normally June test takers should be the main audience. ;)

That's what we all hope for. (Sometimes I feel this application process is more cumbersome than merely getting the PR status...)

I wish all the best for people passed their tests in June; but I passed my test in May 7th and am still waiting for the notice to take the oath. ;)
