Hi bud, my status changed DM, and I have passed test on June 20,location is Surrey. I want plan a short ( about 3-5 day) , can I send a email to surrey CIC for my oath date? Who know email address of Surrey CIC ?Thank!

Got the oath invite this morning! August 21. So excited!
When did you apply?
I'll be eligible for apply on September 23, I'll be applying on Oct 1st.
I was wondering how long is the back log now?

Alrighty, last post! I had my citizenship ceremony yesterday in Surrey at 8:30am. We had a special guest speaker, a clerk and a mountie presiding over the event. There were 57 people from 39 different countries in my group. The whole ceremony took approximately an hour and a half and we were out of there by around 10am, after staying to take photos with the presiding officials. This morning my eCas has updated to complete and shows that I became a citizen on Aug 2. I'll be submitting my passport application next week after the long weekend and hopefully, within a week of that, I'll have a shiny new Canadian passport.
As usual, thanks again to everyone who provided helpful advice on this forum and good luck to everyone still waiting somewhere along the way. It's a wonderful feeling to finally be here and know that this is now officially my home (though it has been in my heart for nearly 8 years).

Do I need to translate stamp on my old passport showing trip made in 2010?
Officially, you need to translate non-English visa stamps dated within the five year period of physical presence included in your Physical Presence Calculator.

The specific advice on what stamps really need translation vary widely as does how each interviewing officer decides which stamps they want to see translated.

When I went through my passport to decide which stamps needed to be translated, I selected for translation those that had any of the following information NOT in English or French:
Country name
entry/exit date
and whether it was an entry or an exit.
If all of this information in the stamp is also presented in English, I did not seek a translation.
For me, this resulted in the need to translate Farsi, Arabic, Chinese Simplified and Chinese Traditional characters.
Due to the number of languages needed for translation, I selected a professional translator.
I've heard of others who use friends who are native speakers of the foreign language can certify but I did not do this in order to complete the translations more quickly.
A few dozen stamps cost about $100 online and I received a completed pdf in 3 or 4 days.

In the end, my interviewer in Vancouver did not care about the translations. She said she didn't need them and didn't want to receive them. Since I went to the expense and trouble to complete the translations in accordance with their own instructions, I insisted that she put the translations in my file. Which she did so under protest.
