1:45! It says in the invitation that we will be invited to stay and watch the game at 4 as well.

How backlogged are they have (Vancouver office)? I am waiting for DM over a month now : |
Call center mentioned (like for everyone else waiting) that a third-party background check is pending.

Nothing else is needed.
Any thoughts?

Ecas showing Decision Made: 30 May
Passport applied: 31 May ( although we were told to wait 3 business days)
passport Received: 11 June

Thank you everyone for the all the support and help that I got here. It was a long journey, became citizen after 10+ years from the day I first arrived in Canada. So many hurdles came throughout this journey whether it was study permit, work permit, PR or citizenship(citizenship was not too bad). For each and every phase I mentioned, something just worked out in the end. My luck was no so great with CIC but when I look at this forum then I see some cases even worse then me. I am so glad its all over finally.

So you went to apply for passport before seeing ECAS changed to completed?
How many hours elapsed before you meet up with a passport officer? Which passport office did you go?

I will have to fly out of the country 1 week after taking oath.
Normal passport application won't be fast enough. Express pick up might be ok if I can apply on the same day or next day, otherwise I have to apply urgent pick up.

I’m in the same position as you - waiting since May 3 for DM. Called the centre and they said the same thing to me so all we can do is wait.

Status update : I received an email today from CIC inviting me to attend the Canadian Citizenship Ceremony on July 10th
ECAS has yet to be updated.
FYI, I updated my address online on 11th June. Not sure if this had anything to do with bumping things along.

Do you need a Canadian passport for this flight specifically? Just use the one from your original country of origin if visa not required / you already have a visa / dual citizenship is allowed...but I guess returning to Canada would be tricky haha.
