Hello All, I returned to this forum after 8 months.I have a confusion; Canadian immigration takes 2 0r 3 yrs may be more. During this time period, police certificates, IELTS(2yrs validity) , jobs changes, even funds at banks are used for property or some other purposes......etc. In such cases do applicants keep on updating their files ? or what ? As in our case - my IELTS validity is getting over in 3 months time, funds r used for other purposes..... i m worried what to DO?

Hello, I hope I understood your questions and here is my answer:

First of all there is no such thing as "Canadian immigration takes 2 or 3 years". The time depends on many things like the visa office, the country where you are from, the correctness of your papers etc. Also, don't forget that they introduced caps for that reason mostly, so that it all becomes faster. Now, as far as I know every paper that gets expired while waiting must be substituted by you and you should send a new, valid one.

Respected Vangelis21,

I am sorry to say that u are completely wrong, in each and everything u stated above. My humble suggestion to u is to spare some time and study the forum as much as u can before u come up with any new post that could harm any of new applicants.

Dear Gravity,

Ur documents should be valid when u submit them to the CIO/VO, It seams to me that u are post june 2010 applicant. In that case if u have submitted ur complete documents to the VO, the only thing u are supposed to do is, to wait!

No such kind of files update is needed.

No need to worry about ur Ielts validity.

Best Regards,

Nashe

P.S Sorry to interrupt u Vangelis21 but it was damn necessary!

Of course, If you think that something said is incorrect, you MUST try and correct it. You did well.

BUT

What I said is not wrong! Maybe I put it the wrong way! Let me try again!

1) Everything I said about time to process the application etc is valid. (correct me with specific reference please if I am wrong)
2) About papers expiration etc I said what is written everywhere in the official website and instructions guide etc. That any document with an expiration date must be validated again if necessary. (police clearances, fingerprints, English tests etc). I didn't even comment on whether this should be at the time you send it or later.

Anyway, this is what I have read and believe. There is no need to believe me or take my word for it. As you know I am still new at it and Everything I say is what I have read and not what I come up with. thank you

EFFECTIVE December 23, 2010: If you are submitting a language test with your application, the results are now valid for 2 years from the time you took the test, instead of 1 year. This change applies to Federal skilled worker, Canadian Experience Class and Business Class Immigrants (investors, entrepreneurs and self-employed people). --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/index.asp

Hi Gravity, there are few of my friends of 2007 case who just a month before received the VISA. They were never asked to submit any additional documents or fresh IELTS or PCC.

In some cases your VO might ask a fresh PCC along with medicals or an updated bank statement. But i have never heard they ask for a fresh IELTS certificate. Just note that IELTS certificate should not be more then two years old at the time of submission of your file.

Maintain at least 80% funds in your bank account.

I myself had changed my job during my application process, but had not updated the CHC.

So dont worry.. just relax..!! ;)

Cheers...

Dear Vangelis21 & SATDXB, Thanks in millions for replying. Now I m quite relaxed.

My reason for being worried was if CIC inquired abt funds at bank -it wont be there. Plus we wont be there at out jobs,as now we hv joined another companies.....
So i m thinking to submit our new-jobs contracts (my hubby and me) "ONLY".
In 2nd AOR they mentioned we will get the responce in 12 months time that is this month 'Sept 2011". but no responce ! They wrote to inquire if we get no responce from them. I wrote brief email , - still no reply !
online status check says " application is in que for review" .

TWO brains r better than one. so i m discussing it here.

thanks again.do share if u have any advise .
