Validity of PR!!!

Hello..
We had receives our PR back in 2016 and were supposed to complete our landing prior to sep 2017 and we accordingly completed our landing in April 2017 and accordingly received our PR cards and returned back due to work commitments.
I would like to know by when or what's the last date that I can enter back to Canada to avoid any complications .

You have to live in Canada for 2 out of every 5 years to keep your PR status. You need to start counting from the day of your landing. So the maximum you can be outside of Canada is three years. But if you do that, then once you return, you have to remain in Canada for 2 years straight without leave to be able to renew your PR card.

Note that if you apply with only 730 days or just above 730 days you can expect much longer processing times since IRCC may have concerns you don't actually meet the residency requirement. Best to have well over 730 days when you apply.

Can we go in 4th year from date of landing? In our case, 3 years are completing in April 2019, so if we do not visit before this, will PR become completely invalid?

You need to be in Canada for a minimum of 2 years in the 5 years from when you land so if you leave it until year 4 to return you will have failed the residency obligation so when you enter you could be reported which could start the process to revoke your PR status.

However as per your first post you completed your initial landing in April 2017 so you need to be back in Canada by March 2020 and then stay put for 2 years to ensure you meet the residency obligation.

The initial residency obligation is based on the day you first land , April 2017 in your case ,not the day the COPR was issued.

After the initial 5 years from landing the 2/5 becomes a rolling requirement , that is every time you enter the country you must have met the 730 day requirement in the 5 years prior to each entry.

As said above the recommendation for renewing PR cards is to ensure you have more than the minimum 730 days in Canada when you apply and note that PR cards can only be renewed from within Canada.
