I just received an email requesting the police certificate clearance, I need to get them from 2 different countries. I was wondering what is the validity of the police certificate, so that I could arrange to avoid out-dating either of them....Thanx

The certificate must have been issued no more than three months before you submit it.

The 'validity' will most likely be mentioned in the PCC itself.

I checked with the visa office and they said that the validity of the police certificate is one year

if it is 1 year it would be convenient. as memo123 contacted the visa office and verified the time is 1 year i have got more confused. the website is saying it should be issues in no more than 3 months prior to the application.

Validity is 1 year from date of issue. To be issued no more than 3 months before submission date. So, it has another X amount of life, from the date of submission. Example, you took PCC and submitted in 1 month from the time of issue of PCC, the cert is valid for another 11 months. If your PR visa takes longer than 11 months of PCC life, you may be asked to furnish a new PCC later.
