Validity of IELTS Score

Hi All

I know that for express entry profile, Ielts score is valid for 2 years.

My question is that these 2 years should be:
1. Till the time applicant gets an ITA (Invitation to Apply)
2. Till the time applicant submits the documents after getting an ITA
3. Till the time CIC have done their investigation and asked for the passport to provide PR status

I think the answer has to be one of the above. Please help me knowing this and provide some facts regarding this.

As long as it is valid when you submit your e-APR (option 2) you won't face any issues.

If my ielts expire by the time i submit my online application after I received ITA, do I need to provide new ielts score while submitting my application?

Yes you have to provide new set of score that will give you points on or above the minimum CRS score for that draw. (and with the current new condition for those with the lowest possible score, they might also check when was your EE created, should it be at minimum).
