Hi there,

We are currently trying to fill in the Schedule A: Background Declaration and we cannot seem to open the document in a setting that allows us to Validate the form and generate barcodes.

We had tried linking our application online but it is not finding our application - so that option is gone. Therefore, we want to mail it in. We have tried calling Immigration Canada to discuss our situation and cannot get through to an actual person, and we're frankly very frustrated by the whole process.

When we try to open Schedule A (from the e-mail from IRCC) we get this message:

If this message is not eventually replaced by the proper contents of the document, your PDF
viewer may not be able to display this type of document.

We have downloaded the latest version of Adobe Reader, ensured the JavaScript is enabled, and we cannot open a form that allows us to 'Validate'. We are anxious to get this completed as we only have another 3 weeks to complete it and get sent in.

If any one could help us access the latest Schedule A form in a format that allows us to Validate it, we would be extremely grateful!

Warm regards

That message is a common problem with the forms. You can actually just kind of override that message and download the form then open it successfully. You should see a little download icon in the right hand corner of that screen while that message is there. Just download the form and then open the downloaded one from wherever you save it (desktop or a specified folder etc).
