Validate bar code pages validates with a different date than current date

Hi there, I have been having problems with opening the general application for for spousal sponsorship on the CIC website. My Adobe is up to date. I tried saving it and opening from the saved file, this worked fine except when I validate it, it comes up with the validation date of nov2014 ( I filled in the form last night) We had done these forms out before in June of 2014 but because of problems with gathering documents we still aren't able to send in the application forms. Since that time our situation has changed ( we had a baby)my husband is living in Honduras and our baby and I are currently in Canada. We have been married for 3 years and I was living with him in Honduras until I came back to Canada in July2014 to have the baby. How long is the form valid for? Can we just use the original forms that were filled out with the barcode from July2014 and I send an extra note with our updated situation or we should redo the whole application again? Did anyone else have the same problem with the validation date being not the date that you filled out the application? Any help would very much appreciated

I can't really help with the validation problem, but I can tell you that you will need to fill out the forms again if you filled them out in June/July 2014. The forms have been updated several times since then. CIC often returns applications if the forms are out of date.

You can right-click on the link then "save link as...".
It worked for me.

That right click did work-thank you. I am filling it out right now and the validation date on the bar code says 11-2014. What do I do? Should I go ahead with it and send it in?

Date under the barcode doesn't matter much to us. Its not reflective of when you started your application or when you validated it. I believe it has got to do with the internals of the file (i.e. what "format" the barcode complies with), and would probably be the same for everyone. For instance, I applied last year, and during that time we had older version of application forms. The date under my barcode says IMM0008_11-2013_1, but neither did I start application in November 2013 nor did I validate last in November 2013 (I validated in April 2014 and submitted in May 2014). The version of application form was March 2014.

Just make sure the content is correct, and you are using the most recent version of application forms. Rest should be fine.

Make sure you have the most recent form. It is possible you might have the form that was released on November of 2014. The latest form is April 2015.

We were about to delay the process or really was leaning towards using a lawyer ( although we really couldn't spare the extra money for one) because we were getting so frustrated with it all.
