Valid job offer in Canada was yes in my EE profile but just realised the answer should have been NO. My question is changing the valid job offer to NO on the ITA would there be an issue during the process. Please advise.
Thank you

If you accept an ITA that you received as a result of (i.e., those points made the difference) a job offer you do not have you may be found to have misrepresented a fact material to your application - 5 year ban on any immigration application of any type and likely a lifetime ban, for practical purposes. If you make the change before receiving an ITA then no problem.

Hi,
Just a question, i am currently doing a job under NOC B. For the question of valid job offer, should I answer yes or no?
TIA

A valid job offer requires either an LMIA-based work permit or one year working on an employer-specific LMIA-exempt work permit (with more conditions, but those are the basic requirements). Currently doing a job is not the important thing.

Thanks for your quick reply. :)
I was wondering if you could reply following question:
I am going to be primary applicant for my CEC application under NOC B, my spouse is a 3rd year PhD candidate in Engineering in UBC.

1. Will I get any point for my spouse’s next 2 years Research Assistant Experience?

2. We didn’t visit our home country during our staying in Canada. Do we need to get police verification again from home country?

Thanks in advance.

You can't get points for future work.

2. We didn’t visit our home country during our staying in Canada. Do we need to get police verification again from home country?
If you have a police clearance that was issued after the last time you left a country, it is still valid.

Thank you for the response. May be i didn't explain the situation properly.

Am currently on an open work permit. I choose a yes with a valid job offer in my EE profile but did not get any points for arranged employment.
Does xx have a valid job offer in canada? Yes
Was a positive Labour Market Information Assessment (LMIA) issued for the job offer in Canada? No
Is xx currently working in Canada? Yes
Does xx have a valid work permit for the current job in Canada? Yes
Does the job offer from the employer named on the current work permit? No
Was a positive Labour Market Information Assessment (LMIA) issued for the current work permit? No

I got to know that the offer of employment only applies to LMIA employees. My question is should I update my form with a NO option, since I did not receive any points for arranged employment or select the same option set which I used to fill up my express entry profile.

If there is something that the system allows you to change, and it doesn't affect your CRS score (or take it below the score required for an ITA) then you can change it. When it locks, you won't be able to make further changes.

I am at the same boat as you, I got an ITA and realized that I answered that question wrong but I did not get any extra point for arranged employment. Not sure if I should decline the ITA and change answer and wait for the next draw, or just go for it with a LoE.

People answered my previous post saying it is fine as long as it does not affect eligibility. See my post and answers in the below link:

Just wondering if you hear from anyone else that would justify this answer? Still hestating what should I do lol.

I didn’t get an actual solution. I declined the invitation and waiting for the next draw just to be safe. Hope this helps
