Valid Job Offer - CEC

Hello everyone

I recently got an ITA to apply under CEC. I am currently employed on TEER 3 category job and already have working experience of 1 year. My question is do I need to be employed on TEER 3 job while I submit my PR application after accepting the ITA? Or can I quit job and start working for another employer with different TEER level (TEER 4) or remain unemployed.

My understanding is an applicant under CEC should have 1 year of skilled working experience in the last 3 years. I am confused whether I should have valid Job Offer for TEER 3 or above when I apply for PR?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Are you on a LMIA and claimed 50 points?
No. I am on an open work permit. I don't have LMIA & haven't claimed 50 points for it. I gained 1 year work experience on an open work permit. Need to know if applying under CEC require valid job offer?

No, you don't need a valid job offer.

CEC doesn’t require a job offer.
Can I start working on TEER 4 level job & don't provide job offer when I submit the PR application? I will provide confirmation of employment, pay stubs, T4 from previous employer for which I am claiming 1 year experience.

I am quitting my job and most likely will work on TEER 4 or remain unemployed when I submit my application. I already have 1 year of skilled work experience. Is it possible to change employer on application once it's already submitted ?

Yes, you're not claiming the 50 points for having a job offer so there's no issue switching employers.

Hi Everyone,

I do have pretty much same concern. I got ITA, I’ll be submitting my documents in 2 weeks. I completed my one year experience with Teer 2 and I was also working with other company under teer 4. I am planning to quit the job which is claimed for cec(teer2). How that can affect my application?? I dont want to take a risk but at the same time I want to spend more time at the job which pays me more. Please suggest.

Job offer is not required for CEC. But I am not sure we should continue employment on TEER 3 or above to remain in express entry. Please let me know if you find an answer.
