Using working visa to enter canada to apply other employer

There's no same employer category in visa offices outside Canada. According to CIC website, processing time would be 1 month.

Thanks for your prompt reply. I understand to convert the work permit to LCP program in Seattle visa office. That means I still have to sent all the documents to Visa office under same employer category or doesn't matter and waiting for another over one hundred days to get my work permit ? Will it take more than 100 days to process or shorter? I couldn't just bring those documents to the border, right?

Sounds silly but just so anxious.

Probably don't send the meds now. They will send you the request should you need one, but send a copy of your current WP.

I want to ask, my employment contract will end on dec 17, 2011..i dont know if my employer will extend my contract...my work permit will expires on march 12, 2012. If my employer dont extend my contract is it ok to still stay here on canada since my work permit is still valid and look for other employer?

Yes, but look for a new employer before your contract ends because it takes a while for processing to complete.

Advertisement for the position with the national job bank is at least 14 days; LMO app is between 2-6 weeks; WP app is currently 82 days. Your hurdle would be looking for an employer willing to file for LMO in your favour. Some employers are daunted by the prospect of applying for the LMO.

Yes and let your prospective employer know that you need to give notice to your present employer when the new work permit arrives so you don't get in trouble.

so you mean i need to let my present employer that i have new work permit from other employer? even my employment contract to them is already expired?

my employment contract is from april 25 to dec 17, 2011, and the work permit that gave me canada embassy in manila when i was there before going here on canada will expired on jan 2012..but when i arrived here on canada immigration stamp my work permit, the papers they put on my passport it will expired on march 12, 2011 coz i arrived on canada last june 12..
