I have been admitted into Concordia University for the MEng Program commencing this fall. Now in order to get the study permit I am going to use the TOEFL iBT scores (111/120) as stated by many people on this forum. But I do not have the hard-copy of the score card. I ordered it but never received it. I asked the local post office but it was futile. So can I use a printout of the results? Please advice.

Yes. All they need reference number to cross verify it.

What do you mean by reference number. I looked up the score card and only found the registration number and ETS ID number.

actually, u can use printout but it it written on the print out that it cannot be accepted as official scores.

but even if you had given them a copy of hard paper based report, same thing is written on the back of it.

so, go ahead and give them whatever you have, mention in student questionaire form that you have completed ESL component on basis of TOEFL. (reading, Listening, Writing, Speaking all sections scores must be written)

This is gonna sound stupid but bear with me, what is the student questionnaire. Is it the one found here [ canadainternational.gc.ca/india-inde/visas/questionnaire-study-permit-permis-d_etudiant. aspx ]

But in the list of documents and supporting documents that needs to be submitted there is no mention of any questionnaire.

check university checklist and you will find that there is a requirement to submit student questionnaire.

in checklist obtained from www.cic.gc.ca it is not mentioned, but it is clearly mentioned that extra docs are to be submitted as directed by Canadian embassy of the country from where visa application is filed. so it is better to follow the checklists of canadainternation.gc.ca and cic collectively.

I too was thinking about it. But I wonder if notarizing it will make a difference.

Okay I will notarize the TOEFL iBT score card before I file it. Its better to be safe than sorry.

I searched for this student questionnaire thing but nothing came up. I checked to see if I was eligible to apply for the study online at this site : (ww.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/student.asp) and I got a personalized list of documents that I should submit. Here is what turned up.

Application Form(s)
Application for Study Permit Made Outside of Canada (IMM1294)

Supporting Documents

Certificat d'acceptation du Québec (CAQ)
Family Information (IMM5645)
Proof of Means of Financial Support
Proof of Medical Exam
Passport or travel document
Digital Photo
Letter of Acceptance

There is no mention of student questionnaire. Really, if some has a copy of it or something please share it with me. May be the student questionnaire thing is part of the old application forms. Even the newer document check list says nothing about it. The new check list is at ww.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5483E.pdf

Dear All,

I thank all the people who gave their valuable suggestions. I got my visa using the print out of the TOEFL scores, without any notarization.

saravanan can you share with us which all documents did you submit for the student visa application? Also, did you apply online or paper based?
And lastly, you can apply using TOEFL score instead of IELTS score right?
