Hi ,

Could someone clarify the disadvantages and advantages of using the representative . I ve heard any notifications from CIC goes to the consultant rather than you getting the notification .

Would this affect the processing time ?

Savio

Hi

All generally depends on how complicated your application is likely to be. If it's simple then you can work your way through it yourself, this forum helps a lot. My application was complicated so we used a lawyer.

Does not add any time, notifications go to the representative but they forward information on.

It has not delayed my application at all.

Thx

Hey Savio,

As said, if your application is complicated, or you are not comfortable doing it yourself, you may find it better using a representative. They will (should) take some of the stress as they should be presenting your application accurately and properly. They can offer the benefit of their experience and knowledge.

However - you will pay for their services. You will need to find a knowledgeable representative who you can trust. You will need to provide them with all the required information for application. Information is being passed through a third party - the representative.

If you have a simple application you can work steadily and thoroughly through it yourself. I did my own application for myself and family. It is time consuming and sometimes stressful and you need to check, check and check again to ensure you are accurate with your submission.

However - it can be done. The information for your application will still need to be provided whether or not you use a representative, you may as well gather it and use it yourself.
Many on here have done their own application. This forum does help a lot (thank you everyone)

As Dr_Midnite states, no delay in their application.
