Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi all,

I need help from people who have similar experiences.

I am planning to apply for FSW this year and collecting documents and wanted to complete as fast I can. I am currently in H1B in USA from 2009, so it is mentioned that i need to get FBI finger printing process to get police clearance.

Can any one tell me the exact steps i need to follow to complete the steps.

What I understand is:

1. Download the application form
2. CC authorization form
3. Affix the finger prints by ourselves
4. Send to the FBI shown address

is the above steps is correct or I am missing anything here.

you replies on this would be of great help.
Thanks in advace

I would suggest using a fingerprinting professional (local police/fingerprint company) to take the prints. There would be less of a chance of the prints being rejected due to unreadability. But other than that, all of your steps are correct.

my suggestion is apply from india vo not from buffalo vo as its gonna take huge time to make decision

Either the way it is inevitable that, I need to get FBI clearance because i am currently in USA from 2009 and I need to get in all the countries if I resided more than 6 months.

All steps are correct, fingerprints has to be done by professional company as its not a easy job and am agreed thath NDVO is much faster than buffalo .

As other members have suggested, the steps are fine but the fingerprints have to be professionally done. Depending on the state you live in, you can have them taken by the state licensed agency (in New Jersey it is done by SAFRAN MORPHOTRACK >>: https://www.bioapplicant.com/nj/default.aspx .)or a county or state police station designated for this process. Normally this is done on special CARDS that you can use to send to both FBI and your country.

As for if you have to apply from Buffalo or India, there are several factors to consider such as:
1. how long your H1B visa is valid/renewable,
2. how fast you would like to relocate,
3. if you had an appointment in india that is time tight, how fast can you travel back and forth bearing in mind that your current employer has to give you days off to complete the needs of this process.
These are merely suggestions.
4. If your visa is valid for more than two years, I would suggest that you use Buffalo as your visa office.

My H1B visa is valid till May 2014 and also i can up to 3 more years, i think I should apply using Buffalo as going to India and coming back only for visa may be possible at that time and cannot predict also.

As far finger printing is concerned, and all of you suggested I will go to near by sheriff's office and do it.
