Hi,
Does the immigration bill prohibit international students who are out of status to be eligible for Registered Provisional Immigrant Status?
This bill was our only hope, but all these hopes crashed when I read an article that due to a technicality people on student visas will not be eligible.

If those who overstayed on tourist visas are eligible, if those who violated deportation orders are eligible, even those who have criminal record are eligible then why not international students who quit school.

1000s of students who quit school will be eligible for legal status will be eligible.
This is the link for the article which prevents illegal international students to NOT Qualify for legal status
An article on nydailynews with the heading" The proposed immigration reform law has a twist for legal nonimmigrants". I cannot post a link here. Can someone tell me if this article is correct or not.

Thank you,
Does any one have any clue if this article is correct or not. I have spoken to two policy analysts and they are not sure about it

Deferred action is for Dreamers. I was 19 when I came to US. I was going to college but I dropped out. On my F-1 it says duration of status. One article on NYDAILY news it says it doesnt cover out of status international students who quit school as they dont accrue unlawful presence
