Hi,

I am working as a Software Engineer in USA on H1B visa for the last 8 years. I would like to apply for Canada's PR using AINP program.
I would like to know whether I need to take IELTS exam to prove my English proficiency?

Thanks

I have done diploma in Business Management course from Canada as well. English was one of the subjects that I studied in this course. Can that help me to avoid taking IELTS exam?

There is no go without IELTS . Express entry is point based system where IELTS is one of the key element.

Unfortunately, yes, you still have to take the IELTS. I was in a similat boat as you. In fact, not only was I on H1 but I also did my bachelors, masters, doctorate in the U.S., as did my wife. So I feel you. No other way out. Good luck.
