Hi Everyone,

What is the current timeline for Buffalo, USA. I sent my application on July 11, 2011. I just found out that I am pregnant. Will he be in Canada by March 2012? Can we speed up the process?

Thanks

The official processing time listed on the CIC for Buffalo is 11 months:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-spouses.asp#west

The 11 months is how long it took CIC to process 80% of applications between April 2010 and March of this year. This means that many applications are processed much faster. The processing of your partner's application SHOULD be completed by March of next year.

Unfortunately the fact that you are pregnant will not speed up the processing of the application.

Just to confirm - you mailed your application to Mississauga - correct? (Not Buffalo.)

Hello

I sent mine in on July 5th :D Right now Buffalo is working on Sponsorship applications from June 9th and I've been seeing a lot of people getting approved in about 5 to 6 months some shorter some longer. So I would say yes he SHOULD be in Canada by March, as long as everything is in order. Unfortunately there is no way to speed it up. If you paid all the fees and crossed every T and dotted every I that will help with the time it takes. We have a July Thread

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/thread-for-july-2011-applicants-t75293.0.html

Good Luck and Congrats on a new baby!

Yeah I sent it to Mississauga.
My husband came to usa in 2004. He was 18 years and 3 months when he arrived. Does he need police report from India?

Do we submit medical reports for my pregnancy? What do we need if we need to submit?

Thanks

If you are the sponsor then you do not need to do a medical. Yes he needs a police report.

but he did not spend 6 months since he was 18. We do not mind asking for police report but it is going to take longer.

Being pregnant doesn't help or hurt the application.
