Hello everyone, is there someone who gone through the whole process of sponsoring their US born child as a Canadian PRs? If yes, could you please explain how did it work out? I mean:
1. How did you manage to enter Canada back with your new born?
2. How much time did it take to get PR for the child?
3. Did you purchase any medical insurance for the child before the sponsorship application was approved?
4. Were you still able to get any child benefits?

"If you (the principal applicant) are living in Canada, provide proof of status in Canada" Principal applicant being my daughter
My daughter didn't receive any documents when we landed, she is a visitor for next 6 months and we will apply extension before that but what do we provide in the PR application for this section?

If you mean that her passport wasn't stamped and arrived on an ETA, this is normal - she was granted visitor (formally termed temporary resident) status on arrival. You can provide eg customs docs if you retained, or just boarding pass in her name. IRCC knows how this works.
If she had a visa issued before coming to Canada, show a copy of that and the boarding pass.
@armoured Thanks! Completed landing via Lewiston Bridge so no ETA or Boarding pass, so planning on submitting a supplemental explanation
If you have anything to support your entry (receipts or anything), great. Regardless, give as close to accurate info on date and time as you can. They have computerised records and shouldn't be too fussed about this, as long as your child's passport data was scanned or otherwise recorded.
1- Try to raise an ATIP request if passport was scanned
2- Apply for visitor permit inside Canada
3- Provide as much documentation as possible with LOE
4- Should be fine. Had a friend in similar situation. They got his PR as long as you explain it in LOE.
