USA Birth Certificate Requirments

Hello, I am going to be sponsoring my wife from the USA and i was wondering if anyone knows what if any are the requirements for her birth certificate. Im asking because when i got my green card in the US there was an issue with my canadian birth certificate not being the long form, i had to get my parents to get a new one and ship it down to me.

I never heard of long form short form till my husband and I went to get married NYC only accepted long form but Niagara falls accepted long or short I am assuming cus they right on the border anyways just make sure it is a certified copy ie... has the states embossed seal on it.... if she used it to get her passport it should be fine...
