US Visa for a Canadian Permanent Resident?

Hello,

I received my Canadian Permanent Resident card in August 2021. I am looking to obtain a visitor Visa to the US, and wanted to reach out to anyone with a similar situation for insight or advice. My nationality is Iranian and I have a valid Iranian Passport, and I am 28 years old.

Any information you can share would be appreciated!

Hi!

I booked an appointment back in March 2020, but due to the pandemic, my appointment was postponed to May 2023. It seems like Montreal, Quebec City, and Toronto aren't excepting any visa applications related to touristic visas; they prioritize immigration visas. My appointment will be in Ottawa, but I suggest checking their websites to get more information.

Also, keep in mind that they will like to see three things;

1) Enough money in your bank account

2) A reason to return to Canada ( University/School/work/mortgage etc. )

3) Your return ticket and well-organized travel plan! ( Because you're from Iran, I suggest you prepare it well your file, and then everything will be fine)

Thanks again! I'll keep that in mind. I live in Windsor and I can literally see Detroit across the river, I've lived there since I came to Canada, I hope my residency here will help my file to know the reason for my return (aside from my employment)
