yesterday, here in Montreal ,my wife received her Certificate from FBI( issued May 6th). she opened the mail, is it forbidden by CIC? we worried but we forward that this morning.
FBI received her sprint february 14th.

Mine was received via courier on February 23 as well - just checked our credit card and nothing yet!
I guess I just have to wait

Its okay to open the mail and nothing wrong with that.

I noticed that many people on here state when the FBI receives their application. I am assuming that you have paid for registered mail delivery?

Is there any other way to verify that they have received the application? Unfortunately, we didn't think to pay the extra cost to have delivery confirmation. I assume our application is fine, just no proof of it.

We mailed it off from the US on April 30th, 2 weeks ago, so they should have received it by now. I realize we probably have another 10-12 week wait, but hope we can confirm they received it before then.

Any advice? Please help

Unfortunately, there's no way of knowing if it was actually delivered.

It should have been, but...you won't know for sure, until you see the credit card charge on your account.

Yes, we have our credit card info on it to pay for the check.

I sent the fingerprints for the fbi clearance in mid February...got them today

Just to give a timeline:

I sent my fingerprints in January 21st.

My credit card was charged April 15th, and the background check was also run the same day.

My Background check was waiting for me at my partner's address in Canada just over a week and a half later. (Roughly 14 weeks total)

**I actually sent in a personal check, which you CANNOT do. Luckily I realized my error in time enough to contact the FBI Background Check center, and they had me fax over a letter explaining my issue, giving them info to identify my envelope, and include a credit card form. It didn't interfere with the total time it took to process it thankfully.

Received my report today (May 21, 2015).

Timeline was:
Prints Received by CJIS: Feb 23
CC charged: May 11
Report received in Canada: May 21

So about 12 weeks in all

Why do you need an RCMP report? It's not required for a permanent residence application unless specifically requested.

I am curious if you received your FBI report yet. Our time lines are about the same but my credit card hasn't been charged yet! ???
