US Police Clearance: FBI Processing Times

My background check arrived today! That was faster than I expected. Fingerprints arrived there Mar 1st.

Seems like they are starting to slightly speed things up at 2.75 months.

Ours was received by the FBI on May 3rd. We may not need ours but sent for it just in case (stay was slightly less than 6 months, and more than 10 years prior to PR app). I did see a recent post where someone did stay just less than 6 months, but CIC still requested it.

My application reached the FBI on Fen 29. They charged my card on May 17th. I made 3 calls to them to ask about fingerprints and the status of my application and i was asked to call after May 23. I called them today May 23 and they said that my application was processed and dispatched on the 20th.

Hopefully i will get it this week so i can upload it to CIC and continue with my application.

I'm waiting for mine to show up in the mail now. Our cArd was charged almost two weeks ago, so I'm expecting it any day. I was under the impression I had to mail it to CIC..is that not right? We can scan/email it somewhere? That would obviously be preferable! But I thought the original was needed...?

People have been asked recently to scan a copy of it and send it. I would send an email/Case Specific Enquiry with a scanned copy and mail the hard copy to the VO.

No problem and yeah... Mississauga has not been consistent with sponsor approval's lately. A lot of people are well past the 40 day time listed on the CIC website besides me. It's such a tease because I know once my application is in Ottawa the rest of the process will be very fast most likely.
