You would need to submit a letter of explanation (LOE) saying that it would take around 14 weeks to get your PCC (which CIC knows, mostly).
Once you submit that letter, they ask you for it in the last phase of your application, Check my timelines showing they asked me just when I was asked to pay RPRF.

(Also, I think it depends on the VO, he can accept your letter or reject the file), its risky, but you don't have option at that stage!:)

Good luck!
Thanks a lot. How many days did they give you to submit the FBI PCC?

I see that you received the ITA on Sep 18 but submitted your application on Nov 7. So did you wait until around the 55-60th day deadline after receiving ITA to file your e-APR so that you could have more time for receiving/submitting the FBI PCC?

Also, howcome you gave your medicals on Nov 19? I thought you had to give medicals BEFORE submitting the e-APR??

Yes, you are right, i tried to push it as much as I can to give a chance for PCC, then I think it was 8-10 weeks or something, not 14 (for sure).
Nov 19 was medical passed update from CIC, not my submission:)

That's strange. You mean 8-10 weeks from the time of submitting the FBI PCC application or 8-10 weeks after submitting the e-APR? Because current processing time is 12-14 weeks for the FBI PCC.

By any chance, do you know if one can travel to the US during this process? I have to visit my father next month for few weeks, but I'm afraid it would invalidate my FBI PCC.

Nothing is strange lol...Like I said, it was something less, not sure if 8-10 but not 14 (from the time they receive the application). I had sent through the USPS priority so had the tracking with me. Although, I am pretty sure, those times did increase over a period of time (maybe last quarter of 2015).
I don't think your FBI PCC application has anything to do with your visit. But other seniors in this forum can help.

Also, I think it would be best for you to have your father's address (with his name as C/O) in the US to send the PCC as it would save the mailing time. Then you can have it sent to you by your father (or anyone living in the US).
All that is needed for you (in application of PR) is to submit PCC from the countries where you have lived more than 6 months (but then i have read, they asked for people who spent less that 6 months too) :)

But I read somewhere that you need to get the FBI PCC after your last visit to the US. So if I visit during the process, the current PCC that they've generated becomes invalid and CIC could ask me for an updated/new PCC?

Make sure the date at which FBI PCC report is generated is after you leave US.

Approximately how many weeks after submission of the PCC request to the FBI can I expect them to generate the report? Someone says 8 weeks, someone says 12 weeks, someone says 14 weeks.

Around 12 weeks. To be on safer side assume it as 11 weeks. Alternatively follow this thread and lodge accordingly.
