Hi guys,
I am on a post-grad work permit in Canada right now and expecting an ITA tomorrow with 481 points. I read that I'll need PCCs from all countries I've lived in for more than 6 months totally, so I'll need it from India (home country) and USA (visited 4-5 times, 2 months each, so over 6 months totally).
Now, I read that PCC from USA takes around 14 weeks to process? I only have 60 days from receipt of ITA to submit all my documents, so how would this work out??
On the CIC website all they say is "It is possible that the FBI will take longer than 60 days to process a request for a police certificate. If you require an FBI police certificate, you must apply immediately upon receipt of your Invitation to Apply. All police certificates must be originals. Photocopies will not be accepted."
They don't really say what happens if you don't receive the PCC in 60 days? So what happens?
Thanks in advance!
P.S. Can I apply through FBI-channeler to speed this up if my father is a US citizen living there (but I'm only a visitor?)
