Is there movement in any American files lately AT ALL?

If this is any help: we applied in July 2016. VO is Ottawa. Noticed the Decision Made July 6, 2017 (I had stopped checking the website every day). Follow up email came from "CPCO-FinalRequest / CTDO-DemandeFinale" and the subject line was "Ready for Visa" within 1 week. We sent the requested new photos and copy of passport July 17, 2017. Received the COPR on August 15, 2017

Inland or Outland?

I am still waiting to hear anything from the Ottawa VO. My background check has been in progress in GCKey since May 26, 2017. I have not heard anything from immigration since that date.

That is crazy. I've been waiting for background check to start since may 24

No way, Really? Isn't that frustrating? Everyone says after your check goes into progress it switches a day or two later. I think I'm going to be in the same boat as you. Got in progress on August 9th after them starting the process April 22nd.

How did the Ottawa VO become slower than VOs like New Dehli and what not? I wish we were just sent to the Australia VO it would have been much quicker at this rate.

Like everyone else who is being held up in Ottawa, I am confused as to why they are so much slower than New Delhi, London, Ankara, etc. For now I am trying hard not to worry or get frustrated. I submitted my application on March 14, 2017, so it's only been a little over 5 months total. I guess that's less than the 12 months they quote. Still, frustrating.

They're not slower than London I can promise you that. The average for apps in London is 7-9 months, we've been there for nearly 5months and not a peep.

Our background check was in progress for two and a half months before we got decision made. Our timeline was fairly typical for Americans, I think. We finished just under the six-month mark.

We're in a very similar boat. BGC started June 14th and no word from the VO. We emailed them today as my husband's PCC will be 'expiring' on August 29th (it will be 1 year since it was completed). Hoping that they can either let us know if they need something else that wasn't requested.

I've been trying to settle my nerves by knowing that there are at least quite a few of us that are in limbo.

Isn't a PCC only valid for 6 months?

Does CIC ever actually ask for an upadated FBI background check since they have easy access to that information anyways?

If you learn any valuable information, please share with the group. I have not emailed or called Ottawa because from what I have read on this forum, it doesn't really do any good. Thank you.

On the March spreadsheet, two applicants through the London VO have already received a DM. Maybe that short time frame is not typical for that VO though.
