Does anyone know if Americans living abroad (but being process in Ottawa) will be requested to send a prepaid envelope etc. once they get PPR?

Hello, giving an update. Received DM on 3/10, and Received the Passport Request email today 3/18.

Please note that on MyCIC it still says that everything, including background and eligibility, is still in progress. If you were like me and checking MyCIC everyday and getting anxious please do yourself a favor and relax... it is not reliable at all. n.

Congrats on getting the PPR! I've noticed that too about ECAS and MyCIC, and I'm sure once we're through with this process we'll think it was silly to worry so much about them.

I haven't gotten my PPR yet, but looking at the different threads, it seems like American applicants (living in Canada or abroad) are required to send prepaid envelopes for their COPR.

Same, got ppr on 3/17 and DM on 3/12. Congrats. Also got the person who asked, the instructions will be in the ppr email. You need 2 photos and a xpresspost prepaid envelope if you're shipping to Canada otherwise a prepaid label

Yeah, I wasn't so sure. The prepaid thing was kind of new and I didn't see that other VOs were requiring it as far as I'm aware. I saw some Brits and Australians who had their apps processed by Ottawa but were requested to send to London or Sydney (and sometimes Ottawa) so I wasn't sure. I thought maybe it depended on where you were residing and those situations are more similar to mine. Anyway, I'm trying not to overthink all this and hope we all get some positive results soon. :D

Congrats! Our Passport Request also arrived today, and MyCIC reports the same as you.

Part of the PPR was to update any changes that might affect eligibility or background checks, so I suppose those will remain "in progress" until the final stamp?

How does one get a prepaid return envelope from the US?

Hello guys, I have applied last week and cic sent me two different UCI numbers with the same Application number , one for me and one for my wife.
Do I have to link the other uci number or it's okay to only do one with the application number. Thank you

Hi Seniors,

Can FBI reject finger print because of minor scar on finger?
I got a minor scar on my finger, which is not fully healed even after 3 weeks now.
Anyone had similar experience?

How I did the prepaid envelope was through fedex. They actually call it a prepaid label. The issues come in that no one in the branches seems to know how to do it. You go on the fedex website and choose to ship as 'guest' and build a prepaid label. I picked the following day as pickup even though it didn't ship for a couple days after that did not seem to be an issue. I gave them my credit card and then once it processed, printed it and stuffed the whole thing (lots of pages) into the envelope with the other stuff. It worked like a charm.

It depends on the country you reside. It should all be outlined in the PPR email :)

Guys whats the number for CIC call center, ecas said they send me correspondence march 11 but dont see it on mycic, need to call them.

Anyone send their PPR back to Ottowa by Fedex or UPS? I sent mine a week ago and still haven't heard anything but others in in the November time frame who submitted the same time already got theres back. Just curious to see if I missed or messed anything up.

Thanks,

Nan

Hello guys, the status of sponsorship has changed to decision made in ECAS and application in process they didn't say if my wife is approved to sponsor me yet. Is there any positive signs.

We received our AOR1 this morning. We sent our application on March 13, it was delivered on the 14th, so it only took 9 days so far. Here's hoping the rest of the process goes by quickly and smoothly.

Hey everybody,

My wife and I are preparing the application. We are filing as US outland as well. My wife, a Canadian Citizen is sponsoring me.

We are living together in US.

Would anybody here kindly enough to provide me some advice or help on some questions that I desperately need to figure out?

I am the PA and my wife, a Canada Citizen, is sponsoring me. We are preparing our applications, and I have some questions regarding IMM5532e Q1,3 and 6, please help and advise.

Q1: Describe the circumstances of your first meeting

A: We met at Ikea, chatted at a Starbucks, then had diner together. Second date was arranged at the end.

Is this enough? or should I attach an extra sheet to give more details?

Q3: If yes, how long have you been cohabiting (living together)? Give the period(s) you have been living together after your conjugal* relationship started.

My wife and I have been living together for 5 and half years since we get married. Before we married, we tried out the marriage life for 6 months. Technically, we didn't live together in that 6 months. We mixed some of our stuff together, then stayed together during the weekends (We lived in different cities, about one hour driving apart) My question is how do I answer the second part of this question? Just list the date that we decided to try out the marriage life to the date that we fill out this application or list two periods (before marriage and after marriage), or just one period (after marriage)? Or the second part of this question is specifically for Conjugal Applicants?

Q6: How often do you communicate when you are not together and how?

Well, we live together. In the past years, once every other year, my wife took our kids to visit grand parents in another country for a month or so.

Is this question specifically for those married couples not living together? Or I need to answer it to give the details of how we communicate for that month that my wife and my kids visited our parents?

You generous help will be greatly appreciated!
