doing that now, just to be clear the application information is my wife's info and not me the sponsor correct?

Correct, wife's info.

Sorry if I'm asking the same people I've already asked by using this thread, but I'm getting worried.

My husband got a VR when we were coming into Canada in December around the 12th. He had been planning on staying a few months while he's on seasonal layoffs. We had put in our pr application Dec 1, but didn't have any proof with us when we crossed (had never had issue before) and got a VR which expired Jan 4th.

We applied for an extension to his status in Dec 30th or something (took us awhile to figure out how to do it) and now he's here on implied status. We'd be fine now, except in November we booked honeymoon tickets for Jan 24-31 in Florida. So when we leave for that, his implied status will be nulled. I'm worried about getting back in on the 31st. He'd like to stay for at least February (when we applied for the extension we says Feb 28th) as his work usually starts back up in March. We don't have AOR yet, and a lot of November folk still dont have AOR so I'm worried we won't get it by the time we leave.

I have proof of payment for the PR app, proof I sent it via purolator, and we have a receipt from him paying his union dues back home to indicate he intends to return. But is it enough? And if it's not, what happens? His car will still be here in Canada, it would suck if he had to pay for another plane ticket to leave Toronto and then have his car stuck here.

Thank guys

Hey all want to get your opinions on this...sent my wife's application in July and got SA end of August...application went into processing end of September no updates since. Medical was done before hand and submitted with application. Shouldn't we have seen medical received by now in ecas? Should I call CiC call centre?

I got SA end of July and I didn't see "Medical results received" until a week ago. I had just emailed them before it changed to ask if they'd received his results and they emailed back the next day saying they received them, and our application and still going through required assessment process.

Wow ok, so I just looked at my eCas just now, and it says Decision Made!!!!!!! But, it has no 4th line past "Medical results receieved." Will I get another line??????

I sent my application in Nov. 2015. Still waiting on sponsorship approval.

Thanks :D

Thanks so much for your reply. It's a bit comforting to know others are in the same boat. When you emailed what email address did you use? I submitted a case inquiry and sent away for notes, tried calling the call centre all day but "due to the high amount of call volume" the system wouldn't transfer my call.

Well when we got the documents request email at the end of November, they had an email on there that I could reply to. So that is the email I used. I am not sure if I am allowed to post it on here?

Nope, no 4th line...or at least I never got one and I have my COPR in hand...I don't believe anyone gets one though...

I submitted the Outland application.
It took almost 8 weeks to receive my AOR & then 2 weeks to receive the SA.

The length of time for the entire process is different for everyone. I only know that Outland is quicker.
Sorry, wish I had the answer for you.

Best Wishes!!

We got a 5th line after we had CORP in hand....there is no rhythm or reason to the number of lines...we had 5 and then went to two then to 4 then to 5...

Hi everyone, just a quick question. I keep reading about CIC updates and what month they're working on and such. How do you find this? Is there a section to go to? If there is could you please post a link if there is one? Thanks so much!

I have a question about landing. I might have asked this before, but I can't remember. I think he will get the conditional residence as we haven't been married for two years. My husband needs to do a quick landing, and than go back to finish his work and put a transfer (once he has social insurance number) in motion which could take about a month. Do you think that will be an issue as I know we will have to be living together for 2 years consecutively after he lands.
