I thought the B4 forms were the most stressful forms to fill out. So as I look at my form I put country of Origin USA and country of export Canada. It says in the top left hand corner that shaded areas are for CBSA only so I left the K22 space blank. I think Settler is the correct choice. I think the twelve month thing implies that your intention is to live there not just visit for a year . Again that is what I checked and nothing was said. I only checked goods to follow , additional goods. I then filled out a B4 for the next crossing, which for me is mostly vehicles. I suspect you only to need to check if they apply. If you are using a moving company. No problem with the questions. I think that none of it is very clear. Happy to help as I can.

Thanks. How do you differentiate a B4 form to B4A(goods to follow) list. crna80 you are a great help.

I did not fill out a B4A. I couldn't find one online to fill in and I didn't want to hand write it so I did a B4 for goods to follow as well. May not be right but we'll see when I bring in my goods to follow in June. But to list out items I typed on an excel spreadsheet. There are two helpful posts on the very first page of this thread, that were also very helpful. May I also mention, when I filled out the B4 online, the print was very small. I made extra pages to hand write the VIN numbers and such. I said to the border agent as he was looking at the small print and I said sorry for the small print and he said that's ok, we're used to to it. As I mentioned i had no problems with multiple B4, the agent stamped all of them, there were three and let us go. Anyone else have an opinion on the B4A?

The agent likely helped you by taking the B4 that he recognized as "goods to follow" and changing it to B4A. I had a little assistance initially in modifying my B4A and getting copies, and most of my B4A was on a blank piece of standard printer paper, handwritten, with estimated value next to the items.

This doesn't mean one should start putting goods to follow on a B4.

The agent was simply nice, which seems to be a common experience. They are quite anal about forms and following the rules in many circumstances, but in reading other posts and my own experience, they (the CBSA officers at the ground POEs inside the CBSA office) are generally quite helpful during landing regarding the goods forms.

My aunt passed on Monday. What are the thoughts if I went to the States? Totally mess up my Temp Resident status? Monkey up the Perm Residency app? Really hating being here right now. :-[

Probably won't bother anything with Canadian immigration at all. Just make sure to pack away proof of your PR application. They may reset your visitor status or if you have a VR, they might just let you keep the same one.

Sorry about your aunt *hugs*

Thank you Amikety.

I just found out that the FBI didn't get my request until March 18th, not the 15th like I was told it would be. I have to wait until April 18th to call and check on it, per the FBI. Holy craptosis. That leaves me only 2 1/2 weeks before the CIC deadline of May 6th. WHAT DO I DO if I don't have it by then??

Just email them and tell them you already sent it in, but it hasn't come in yet. You can offer any proof you have, like a tracking number to show you did send it in. As long as they know you are doing it and not ignoring them, it'll be okay.

Indeed. I've received far fewer requests to update the spreadsheet lately. I suspect that COPRs are periodically approved in batches by one person, and we'll see most of September get approval at around the same time (and hopefully a lot of the earlier applications as well).
