got my COPR today, it says not valid for travel in big letters lmao, and surprisingly i do not have condition 51 even though we have been common law for 1 year although we have been together for 5.
Congrats, jamsham. Where'd they send your COPR to city-wise? You had to wait quite a few weeks for it.

Hope your landing goes smoothly!

well my representative is in Mississauga and it took them almost 3 weeks from DM to mail it to her office then she overnight-ed it to my address in Virginia, looking at the GCMS notes the last update was 10/28/2015 where all the checks(eligibility, criminal, security) were passed not sure why it took close to 3 weeks after approval for the letter to be sent, starting to think this is the norm.

Did your ecas ever get the "correspondence sent" line added? I just got off the phone with the call centre (again) and this time he said (without ever taking my UCI number or anything) that if it doesn't have that line, then they didn't send anything. Uggghhh. I emailed Ottawa last Wednesday, but still no response. I was so happy when I got DM, but all this waiting has killed it. :p

Yea, just checked there is no 5th line item saying they sent the correspondence, those call center reps are dumb as f$%k, i had like 3 agents look in my file in November and state they couldn't tell if i was approved, then i take one quick peek at my GCMS notes which arrived last week, and i was approved back in late October. Shiiit, i wish i had their jobs, i would not look too much into what they are saying, if the waiting is unbearable send a quick inquiry to your MP and they should be able to tell you when the letter was mailed out.

I did this and it was not an issue at all. I also put my country of residence as Canada, even though I was a visitor. I was trying to make it clear that my partner and I were living together since we applied as common-law. CIC doesn't take issue with this, but be careful about telling that to CBSA.
Thank you! I was confused because of everything I have to tell CBSA (that I'm just "visiting" and still prove ties to the US). From what I've read it's alright to tell the CIC that I am living with my spouse, but because of dealing CBSA I wasn't sure.

You will receive your "COPR" or confirmation of permanent residency at which point you can land at any border crossing and start your life in Canada 8), give it about 3 weeks from "DM" to the receipt of the letter, Ottawa is extremely slow in mailing letters out, usually snail mail.

But i'm reading on some of the forums, that people get a 4th line. See i just have 3rd line and "Decision Made" is on my Permanent Residence Application Status: Which changed from In Progress to Decision Made.

Congratulations Jamsham12, Panamai and Cal2VictoriaBC!

Don't worry about the lack of a 3rd line, it will show up eventually, Ecas is usually slow to update.

They sure seem inconsistent with the Condition 51!

So, it seems like Ottawa people are getting COPR approximately 3 weeks after DM. I guess I'll resume stalking the mail person next week; expecting it this week may be a bit premature.

Congrats to everyone landing this week! :p

Depends on how often the visa officer updates ECAS, which often times is lacking. I can only speak for myself but I received my COPR today and have never gotten that additional line item stating they have sent me the correspondence on XXXX date.

Referring to the date and place of my recent entry to Canada on the IMM0008, Do I list the specific port of entry that I entered through, or is the city and province enough?
