OhCanadiana is right. My husband and I called because he was so happy and he just had to know... I tried to tell him not to bother them but he couldn't wait one more week. lol

Sooo after a day of holding myself back, I decided to call CIC to check if the mail has been sent. Lol! The guy told me they approved it April 16, sent out the mail April 17! But my Ecas changed to DM from IP April 22.

I wonder how many days will it take for the mail to get here... Ahhhh, the questions seem to never end. Lol! :P

Finally feeling hopeful! ... So happy for everyone who has gotten approved!

Currently ~ 14-16 weeks, so you should be fine. As you probably already know, CIC needs to receive it within 90 days from the date that it was issued.

Another `duck' that you'll want to keep an eye on, is checking the CIC website before you mail your application, to see if they've updated any of the forms...which they seem to do often.

Good luck!

Hello Everyone,

I mailed my application on Jan 6,2015 and was transferred to CPP-O on March 26th, 2015. I JUST found out FBI police certificates issued by FBI-approved third party private companies were not accepted :o. Unfortunately, I used the 3rd party one but I am going to get another from FBI tomorrow.

I am currently in Canada right now, does anyone know if I can take the fingerprints in the police station in Canada?
Does it really take 14-16 weeks to receive the report?
And will the CPC still accept the new one if I send it separately?
Can the FBI report send it to Canada?

Thanks in advance!

Hey Everyone! Got SA today, app is being forwarded to Ottawa!

I had my prints done by a fingerprinting company in Canada. It's fine as long as they are professional and on the correct card. It does take 14-16 weeks, unfortunately... This caused a huge delay in my process. We had them sent to our address in Canada once the were completed. Just my experience. Hope this helps.

I'm in a similar boat though we are just starting to collect our paperwork. That's going out in the mail today. Sucks.

Just got some good news, I checked my CC statement and the FBI has used my credit card information and charged my account. Should get police certificate soon, and medical is in two weeks in Berkeley. Then the paper work gets sent off and then I pray and wait. Then the fun begins.

Does Ottawa send AOR2 letters?

I don't think they generally do.

You'e probably still got about three more weeks before the FBI report actually shows up, but it's good news that they've charged the card. And the doc in Berkeley is good. The appointment itself doesn't take long. They'll send the paperwork you need to file in the mail; took me about a week to receive it after the appointment. Also the required X-ray is done at a different location...about 10-15 minutes away (at about 38th and Telegraph in Oakland), so leave some time for that...

There is another panel physician in the Detroit area besides Dr. Sherman?

We sent off the finger prints to the FBI at the end of February and nothing yet. From what I understand that there is a back log at the FBI and prints are taking up to 5 months to process! Has anyone else heard anything about this?

We sent in all of our documentation except the FBI finger prints on April 7, 2015.

Just waiting now.

My husband is coming from New York.

Canadianinlove,

I'm not sure about 5 months, but definitely 3 months. My husband sent in his prints January 13th; his credit card was charged April 7th. We are hoping the certificate has been delivered when he returns home next week.

You should see your credit card charged soon.

Thank you JandAtoC!

I was looking at another thread and they were saying 5+months. I am glad you had success in only 3 months. :D
