I've provided savings and 401K to OINP and they've accepted it. I plan to do the same for PR. I will also show my checking account. Will you show checking and credit cards?

I wont be providing credit card details. I'm leaning towards not submitting my checking account either. 401k exceeds the 12000CAD limit so I should be all set, I hope!

Same here. I don't have a credit card with my brokerage, so I'm not going to complicate things with another set of documents.

I have a feeling that Canadian IRCC treats US residents in a different way from somebody coming from, let's say, timbuktu.
And the same holds true for US Authorities treatment of Canadian residents.

Hey guys, when submitting 401K, will current balance (online print out) and last quarter statement be ok? What are you submitting?

Right or wrong, this is a true statement.

For an update, I got my Ready for Visa/PPR email a few days ago. For POF I submitted only statement print outs from my brokerage for my 401(k) for the six months previous to my application. Seems to have been fine.

My 401k balance was also accepted.

Follow up: I got my GCMS notes. The analyst noted that my POF was from retirement funds (in all caps). The approving officer didn't seem to care as there were no further notes.

I landed yesterday and nothing was said about it. The CBSA officer didn't even ask for POF at landing.

Hi!! I am the primary applicant and my husband is the secondary applicant. Can I show his 401k as proof of funds? If yes, an online statement of 401k would be enough or should I take an official statement or letter from the organisation.

I showed checking account with around 75% of the funds and for the remaining I got a letter from 401k managing firm about vested balance. However, I received a document request to provide proof from 401k managing firm that the funds are available and transferable!!!!!!

Hi ,Were your POF accepted with this arrangement ? I am planning on doing the same with my POF. I have 75% in my savings account and the rest in the plan to show my 401k.

Can anyone confirm if i can just use my 401 K as POF? I have around USD 20 K in 401 K but can withdraw only half of it without quitting my company which is less than the minimum funds required , pls advise if i should show any gift deed etc instead of 401 k
