Everything went fine till yesterday, got medicals/RRPF . Then suddenly i get an email asking to send the PCC from US and india. Now i have apply for both. That will be about 4-6 weeks of further delay. not sure if anyone is in the same boat as me. if you arent sure that the PCC was issued 3 months before application received @ CIC , please apply them soon and mail the originals to CIC. Otherwise your case will be delayed.

Thats bad..... when was RPRF requested for you? I wouldnt be happy either to see the request from CIC.... :(

RRPF was requested on Feb 17th...paid the same day.... Applied PCC..but a long long wait now! i hear the US PCC takes more than the indian one

It would take anywhere between 30-45 days for FBI certificate. Don't worry.

I have the same situation. I sent my Indian PCC after getting my AOR.
But still they have asked for the PCC. The mail looks like an automated mail.
So I sent a mail to CPC attaching the scanned copies of the PCC I sent and the delivery confirmation.
Waiting for their reply. If I don't receive within a week , I will apply for my PCC again.

My GCMS notes previously ordered clearly shows that they received my PCC. Does your GCMS notes say so?

i havent ordered GCMS yet...i just waited and waited.... should have done that...anyways i will still go ahead and order one..not sure if anything else is missing...i though i should be thru having received MR/RRPF... seems like the admissibility for security/background check gets done after eligibility...Lets hope that the PCC is the last one...considering the current pace delay of 6-8 weeks should be ok now..unless nothing new comes up...

Can someone please let me know how to get USA PCC from India ? I searched and couldn't find in this forum much details. Also am not sure where can i go for fingerprints as am in Hyderabad and how much time it take to get PCC from USA to INdia.
Also one more question, i heard once we are asked for PCC by emailo then can we scan and reply to the email which we received or we need to send originals only?

Please let me know details on how to get USA PCC from Hyderabad,India. I applied for PR in Feb 2014 and planning to send upfront PCC if possible to save sometime.

Step #1 : Download forms from FBI
Step #2: Finger printing using the
Step #3 : Mail it to the address

In hyderabad you can try truth labs. Not sure how close is from your home. Its better to take the finger prints from a professional service. You can do it by yourself but the prints need to legible . If FBI cannot read them they will return it to you. If you have any buddies/relative leaving to US then hand it over to them. You can save postage.

The FBI offers two methods for requesting your Criminal History Summary or proof that one does not exist.

Option 1: Submit your request directly to the FBI.

Option 2: Submit to an FBI-approved Channeler, which is a private business that has contracted with the FBI to receive the fingerprint submission and relevant data, collect the associated fee(s), electronically forward the fingerprint submission with the necessary information to the FBI CJIS Division for a national Criminal History Summary check, and receive the electronic summary check result for dissemination to the individual. Contact each Channeler for processing times.

Note: If an authentication (apostille) is needed, please contact the Channeler to determine if this service is provided.

What Happens Next

If we find no Criminal History Summary on file, you will receive a response indicating that you have no prior arrest data on file at the FBI. If you do have a Criminal History Summary on file, you will receive your Criminal History Summary or “rap sheet.”

Thanks a ton steve_jones and this is really helpful. Also cna you please let me know if CIC accepts the otion 2 i.e PCC provided from chaneller ? or chaneller is used only for fingerprinting ?
sorry if my questions are dumb.

I heard different story about option 2. If the background check report is used for something with US option 2 is favourble. Since this is for an international immigration purpose .. CIC may not consider it from a chaneller . Am not 100% sure. to be safe i went with option #1. Nowaday it takes only 28 days to process + 1 week mail delivery ( this is for canada).
