Sorry wrong, Green Card holder's don' t require TRVs (visitor visas) for Canada see: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/visas.aspSuin said:when we were in Detroit Canadian consular section a visa officer said that green card holders need to apply for visitor's visa if they are not from visa exempt countries.
Most people talk to a clerk when the visit a consulate, not an officer. A lot of the clerks don't have the information or don't understand it correctly.Suin said:thank you for your reply, PMM.
why do they keep officers in the consulates who do not know the regulations? there would be much less stress and problems if they knew the rules properly. this way they just cause lots of confusion.

we actually talked to the officer, as we asked for the interview related to visitor's visa refusal. and it was she who told this to us personally. that is what rises the confusion now.
