Hi All-

I'd appreciate it if anyone can help me!

I'm a F1 grad student in US applying for a visitors visa to Canada. Although my visa expired last year, I found that I can use the visa revalidation to get back to the US. I'm staying in Toronto for 4 days before flying back to US. Right now I'm filling out the online application forms and a few questions:

1, I am asked to provide purpose of travel. I found online that if you are visiting someone you have to show the invitation letters. But my purpose is just travelling and site seeing and I don't know anyone there. So what document should I provide??

2, When providing the bank statement, do I new to put a lot of money in my account? If so how much do I need? Can I just provide my pay stub and offer letter of my assistantship in my university?

This application process has taken me so much time and I really want to get over with it. So thanks for any help!

Best,
PR

1.purpose of travel can be tourism
2. you do not have to show lot of money; but enough for your 4 day tour, meals, hotels, air ticket, etc.
hope this helps.

Thanks toronto30!

I see. So in the pdf file I upload for 'purpose of travelling', I can just say 'tourism'? Is it too short or it's ok?

Am also an F1 visa holder. For "Purpose of Travel - Other", I uploaded PDFs of my confirmation emails for my hotel reservations.
