Can you send me the link where it says 4-6 weeks becoz when I am checking the Toronto embassy it is saying 261 days for non immigrant visa

I don’t think it’s mentioned on any website even when I tried to look.
When couple of people from this forum emailed embassy to check on their status, they receive this standard reply of wait for 4-6 weeks time.

Now I have to urgently travel abroad to another country in the coming weeks. Can I ask the embassy to return my passport and allow me to re-submit once I return? Yes once i have requested while in India for travel to non-US country and after a month they asked me to submit the passport back to them for processing again.
So surely you can give it a try. I am not seeing right email on their contact page hence just call them in their phone to ask for the process steps.

I have interview waiver and I send my documents via fedex, us consulate Toronto receive it on 13 th may but I haven’t got anything back yet, any idea how long they are taking to process your application thanks

How many days people are getting their passport back, need to travel soon

I am residing in US on H1B and need to get stamping on the renewal. Considering delays in India, I am considering visiting Canada[on tourist visa] and getting my stamping done. Since DS160 needs the dropbox location stated ahead, what are the wait times for various Canada US Consulate locations right now?
Would I still do DropBox? I was originally eligible for dropbox if I were to go to India. Would that hold good for Canada also?

I submitted my passport and documents for USA , they were received by the embassy on 20th April 2022. nothing after that. I was waived the interview as I had USA visa previously . It has been 7 weeks.
