US doctor to work in canada?

hi, looking for a litlle help?....(thought i would post this here too, not sure where it is best put?)

in a nut shell.....my fiance is waiting for a temp work visa in a BC ER hospital, and in the mean time, can she come up and visit for a lenthly period of time?..say, 1-6 months?...are there any forms to fill for extended stays while all the paper work is going though for the temp work visa?.....thanks for any help,,,,,the wheels of goverment sure run slow..we both figured doctors are wanted bad up here,,,boy, what a surprise??!!.....will have more questions at a later date!!..thanks larry

If she's a U.S. citizen, she doesn't need a visa. She should be granted entry for 6 months by just showing up at a port of entry.

They will ask her why she's visiting. If the purpose of her visit is to get married, they will deny her entry. So tell the truth about the work visa etc. but keep that in mind.
