US citizen, ex Indian citizen which PCC??

Hi Guys

I am looking into applying for canada immigration, and have a question.

I was living in Middle East (qatar) when an Indian citizen, i moved later to USA and got my citizenship.

Now for canada they need PCC from each country after 18 I was staying for more than a year, but i am no longer an Indian (india passport act allows only 1 citizenship and have to renounce your indian citizenship.

For applying for Qatar PCC, would I still be able to get Qatar PCC considering I was an Indian national at the time (India passport) and now have US citizenship.

Would canada need only US PCC FBI or both US FBI PCC and Qatar PCC and India PCC? I never stayed in india for more than a year after or before 12 years.

You need to provide PCCs for any country that you have stayed in for more than six months continuously in the past 10 years. Unless they specifically ask you for anything else, you don't need to get them.

If you have stayed in India or Qatar for more than six months continuously in the past 10 years, then yes, you will need to get them. I know that you can get an Indian PCC even if you are a former citizen - there is a process. Not sure about Qatar, but I'm sure there must be a way.

Thanks, but will canada accept it because my citizenship on qatar PCC would be Indian? and india passport. ofcourse its the same person.

would i need to maybe provide a LoE about why Qatar PCC is issued for me under indian passport, but US PCC is stating US passport..

You can write a letter, but don't worry - Canada will accept it.

Interesting, moving from US (land of opportunities) to Canada.

Any specific reason ?
