US border with Canada

I would like to know how its working at the US border if we want to ask asylium to canada.

Is there a specific place to go at the border (with Ontario), specific documents to show?

The person is not in the USA yet, she will come from venezuela

Due to the safe 3rd country act she can’t claim asylum at the border unless she has family in Canada. She will need proof of her relationship to the family member.

However, your can circumvent the 3rd country agreement by crossing through a non official border point (there's many, popular one is Roxham Rd look it up)

Then shell be able to present her case for asylum.
