FedEx is best. That's good. What's your aor? And other dates corresponding to ip1,ip2?Hey guys, I just received my request for passport email. I need to send a prepaid envelope that works from Canada back to the US, any tips on that?
I can see myself having a hard time explaning this to USPS, but maybe UPS or fedex do it?
I agree that Fedex is best. I've used both Fedex and UPS to ship paintings to exhibits in Canada this summer. Fedex charged less than UPS and generally seemed to be better informed about how to send things to Canada.Hey guys, I just received my request for passport email. I ended up doing USPS on the way to Canada for $43 and 4 days and Fedex on the way back for $53 and overnight. That was the only option they gave me.Congratulations!! I also recommend FedEx for the prepaid self addressed envelope.
I mail all my docs in a big envelope via USPS first class international which normally takes 1-2 weeks. I included a self addressed prepaid envelope from FedEx. Sending by FedEx or UPS is allowed and more common, but it's a lot more expensive. For the self addressed prepaid envelope, I was first quoted $68 something from UPS for something like 2 to 3 day delivery, and $56 from FedEx for the same. UPS website made it easy to create prepaid label, but so expensive! FedEx was a real hassle. I couldn't do it online, and I called the help desk that was very unhelpful and difficult to deal with. You also have to create a FedEx account to do a prepaid label, but I couldn't sign up for FedEx account online because it kept rejecting my credit card numbers. I finally went into a FedEx store and the employee first directed me to a computer and I found out I would still need to create FedEx account. Those computers also rejected my credit card for creating account. But the employee was able to do so manually, after a wait in line, and I finally was able to create the prepaid return label, which actually ended up being $18.57 USD for 3 to 5 day delivery that was charged to my credit card a week after my COPR arrived. They printed it out and it generated 5 sheets of paper, mostly for customs. At least the employee knew what to do and put them all into a plastic pouch folded up and stuck to my return envelope

5 calendar days but 3 business days. It was sent on Wednesday March 28 and I received it on Monday April 2. Note that I chose the 3 to 5 day delivery option. How long did it take you to receive your fedex envelope back? according to tracking Canada received my packet yesterday. Yay! That's so exciting! For OHIP, it'll be 3 months from your arrival unfortunately. I would definitely recommend insurance for the waiting period. We didn't end up making any claims since we only had a couple of walk-in visits and didn't bring the claim forms with us (we thought a doctor's note would suffice, but nope, Destination Canada wanted their own multi-page form signed). There may be better plans that will work better for those types of visits but either way, you'll at least want peace of mind in case of a hospitalization. Walk-in visits and meds were very cheap (at least compared to costs in the US), but a hospitalization wouldn't be so at least get that covered to be safe Also, make sure to get insurance before arriving, otherwise you can get stuck with a waiting period before your plan starts.Hi guys!
My moving day is coming soon. I would love to hear your recommendations about the 3-month gap before we qualify for OHIP.
Should I buy travel insurance? I'll be there Aug 15th, I heard somewhere that the three months will count from Aug 1st... Is this true?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Indeed we are not eligible for OHIP until 3 months after we move to Ontario, and unfortunately for you, it will be 3 months from August 15, or November 15Hi guys!
