US B2 visa application

Hello! i hope someone can help me...

I am PR holder in Canada, and I just applied for a US B2 visa. I have a few questions:

- can I bring my husband's expired Canadian passport (he doesn't have time to renew it before my interview), and his citizenship card?
- I don't exactly have a place to stay in the US, coz I indicated in my application that I just want to go to shopping in the US and come back to Canada the same day. Is this ok when they ask me about it during my interview? I mean, this is really my intention, to shop and just tour New York, maybe tour Warner Bros in the future.

regarding interview question ,yes you can say the purpose of visit is to visit places and shopping, if they ask you when tell them you are planning for your marriage anniversary /happy bday and they would be fine. Regarding taking expiry passport, i don't know if they will accept that, since you need to get the visa stamping on your passport.Call the usa embassy and check with them.

Oh I'm only bringing my husband's Canadian passport as one of my proofs for Canadian ties. My husband will have it renewed for sure before we travel, it's just not gonna make it in time before my interview.

Do you have any idea what they might ask or look for during the interview?

i don't see any reason why they will ask your husband passport, but just take a copy of it with you to be on safer side. But take others opinion and try posting this question in some other section. In this section people only talk about PR application so i wonder you will get fast response.
