Hello,

I had applied for my immigration last year, nd fortunately my decision has been made nd i have got the PPR sep-1 by now.nd its been 2 weeks tht i have sent the copies of my Pass Port to London Visa office.
now the thing is I am bout to get engaged nd will be married in couple of months. its an arrange marriage according to Pakistani traditions.
so my concern is that how am i gonna inform the VISA office now. will it delay my VISA. nd how long will it take to process my spouse VISA.
my process has taken almost 9 months btw 2011/2012 so far. I intend to go to Canada before my spouse.
so plz let me know ur experiences nd informations.

cheers.

Get PR , goto Canada, Become PR. Come back and marry and apply for her PR - Family Stream.

You have to go through complete procedure for your wife (if you marry prior to Landing in Canada). Any change in the status PRIOR to landing has to be forwarded to Visa Office. As per my knowledge, the old Visa becomes invalid and has to be re-issued if Family structure changes.

Congrats Leo for speedy processing and for PPR1.
in responce to ur concern, I will suggest dont inform about ur engagement as u already have recieved PPR1.
better u complete ur landing and process ur spouse visa application right after marriage.

As advised by above forumites. It is better not to marry now. Go for engagement, no issue but if you go for marriage before landing this will delay (i think) and if you get visa then get married and go alone then your spouse will have tough time in getting visa as visa officer will consider it as a business marriage. So it is better to go Canada after engagement then after having all cards (PR,SIN and Health Card) come back to your homeland. Get married and go back and apply for family visa.
This is all my opinion. For an expert advice send PM to Qorax.

rightly said, buddy go to canada first, complete all formalities, come back , marry her and then apply for her visa.

I have seen ppl messed the entire situation by marrying at the last stage and not informing the cic.
cic considers it misrep.

all the best.

hi,

sabyozi, its recomended tht dont submit ur case after March if cap is almost saturated...i think they dont consider it nd return the file if caps reached. but dont worry bout it much if its returned then u can resubmit ur case in July 2012 program if chef category is thr.

i hope it helps.
cheers.

Family class sponsorship is taking now more than two years in Pakistan, as everybody is suggesting to get the PR first and then marry and apply the family class sponsorship it will take minimum two years, and over that you have to proove in your family class sponsorship application that you are permanently residing in Canada which is the condition for family class sponsorship in case if your intension is to come back after getting PR, I dont know how long it will delay if you marry first and add your spouse in the application and go together as compare to 2 years after getting PR.

nd wht if he applies from london. since he has been living thr for 6 yrs.

That you have to check how long they are taking to process family class sponsorships.
