It would be an inland application. My wife is mexican and i am irish.We live in canada now.I am here on a student permit till next march 2012. she will apply for her PR in sept and i will apply aswell cause we are married but am i allowed to wait here for all the process to finish? do i need to have legal status all the way through the process?
You always have to have legal status. If you leave and try to re-enter as a visitor, they still have to be sure that you will not try to overstay, even if your PR doesn't come through.
