you dont need any sort of visa if you are merely transiting through europe and the uk and if your connecting flight is from the same airport

Agent wants to make more money from you . No need of any visa for any connecting flight with same airport

You need a transit visa only if your connecting flight is via United States of America.

U need schengen visa only if ur transiting through schengen countries . UK is not one of them so u should be fine.

so what happens is when ur going between 2 schengen countries is that once u arrive in Germany via international flight u have to go to domestic flight and thats where they ask u for visa. if u stay on international side it should be ok . So u wont go to a domestic(schengen) flight as UK is not one of them. I am guessing ur from India.

I guess yes u should be good to go. If u still not sure call ur airlines see if they have any information. Read about Germany transit visa. I have gone through Germany multiple times with no issues or visa requirements and I am indian too.

this afternoon i called geman embassy and they assured me that i won't be needing any transit visa but i'm lil skeptical about uk immigration will they demand for transit visa ?

no if ur stay is less than 24 hours u wont need a visa
